Richard Zimmerman is an experienced financial industry professional with a background in wealth management, impact investing, and philanthropy. He has held senior positions at global banks and multi-family offices as well as board positions at philanthropic organizations.
Richard is a Relationship Manager at WE Family Offices, where he advises the firm's UHNW client families regarding their overall wealth management needs. This includes traditional and impact investment management, tax and estate planning, legacy planning, and philanthropy. He also helps lead the firm's Values-Aligned Investing service, which incorporates a family’s values into their investments and philanthropy through impact investing and grant strategies.
Richard has held senior leadership positions at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Bank of America and has served in Private Banking Relationship Manager roles at HSBC and Bessemer Trust.
Richard has a M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. He holds a Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) with the John Molson School of Business as well as numerous financial industry designations.
Richard has been involved in numerous philanthropic causes and currently serves on the Ceres President’s Council, Capital Institute Board, and Riverkeeper Advisory Board. He is a published author of “What Can I Do to Make a Difference,” Penguin Books USA, a guide to environmental and social issues and individual actions to make positive change.
